Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office located in the vibrant community of Ashburn, Virginia. The facility is designed to be welcoming and conducive to patient care, equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology. You will be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, ensuring smooth operations throughout the department. Our working hours are structured for optimal patient interaction, primarily from Monday to Thursday from 3 PM to 7 PM and a flexible short shift on Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' conditions by utilizing both subjective and objective testing strategies to inform treatment plans.
• Design and implement personalized treatment protocols that align with established goals and objectives, ensuring they are tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about their conditions, treatment exercises, and expected outcomes, facilitating active participation in their rehabilitation journey.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment progress accurately and promptly, adhering to regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapy aides, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in the supervision of physical therapy aides, students, and administrative staff to ensure high standards of rehabilitation services.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through continuous education opportunities provided by the organization to enrich clinical practice.
• Play a role in maintaining departmental productivity by meeting monthly performance metrics while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse clientele ranging from neonates to geriatric patients, addressing a variety of conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs. Your expertise will play a crucial role in improving functional mobility and overall patient well-being, directly impacting their satisfaction and recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A valid state Physical Therapist license.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Strong clinical background with at least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in outpatient rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to forge relationships with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with orthopedic and sports rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation exercise prescription.
• A background in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems for patient documentation.
