Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by obtaining detailed medical histories and performing thorough physical examinations to identify health concerns.
• Perform, order, and interpret a variety of diagnostic tests including ECGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms, ensuring alignment with patient-specific treatment plans.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments tailored to each patient’s unique needs, following established clinical guidelines.
• Document patient interactions meticulously by maintaining accurate medical records, writing orders, and progress notes that reflect ongoing treatment plans.
• Engage in regular follow-up with patients to monitor health status and effectiveness of treatment protocols, adhering to established care guidelines set forth by supervising physicians.
• Facilitate effective communication between physicians, patients, and their families, ensuring everyone is informed about treatment options and health updates.
• Participate in occasional hospital rounding to provide holistic care and reassess inpatients as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner role is focused on a diverse patient population suffering from a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York State.

Compensation and Benefits
