Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote working setting that fosters flexibility and work-life balance while enabling you to engage with clients from various backgrounds. Your typical schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. You will utilize telehealth technologies and virtual collaboration tools, ensuring seamless communication and continuity of care while building meaningful relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health status of elderly patients, considering their unique cognitive and physical health needs.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans, addressing factors such as social interaction, environmental influences, and family dynamics.

• Provide a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy, family counseling, and psychoeducation sessions.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, participating actively in case consultations and treatment team meetings.

• Offer crisis intervention services to elderly patients experiencing acute mental health challenges, ensuring timely support and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, providing information on treatment options and connecting them with community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with ethical guidelines and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay abreast of current research and best practices in geriatric mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work predominantly with elderly clients who may be struggling with age-related mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, Alzheimer's disease, and other dementias. Your expertise will guide these clients through complex emotional landscapes, enhancing their quality of life through effective treatment and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Colorado.

• Strong understanding of geriatric mental health issues and therapeutic techniques.

• Proficient in using telehealth technology and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and security.

• Previous experience working with older adults within a clinical mental health setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
