Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing therapy interventions based on evidence-based practices while continuously monitoring patient progress and making necessary adjustments to their treatment plans.
• Delivering specialized care to various patient populations, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
• Utilizing advanced techniques and therapeutic modalities that align with the physician's prescribed plan of care, ensuring all aspects of treatment are purpose-driven.
• Providing education and guidance to patients and their caregivers on exercises, recovery techniques, and lifestyle modifications.
• Fostering a welcoming atmosphere by maintaining high standards of customer service and patient engagement.
• Meeting departmental utilization goals and contributing to broader clinic objectives through quality improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, young children needing developmental support, and athletes rehabilitating from sports-related injuries. Your ability to build rapport and trust with each patient will enable them to engage fully in their recovery, directly contributing to their rehabilitation success.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program, with a strong preference for candidates holding a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• A valid State License to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in word processing and general computer skills necessary for patient documentation and progress tracking.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your candidacy:

• Prior experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting or specialized training in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with various physical therapy modalities and functional rehabilitation technology.
