Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Amarante Orthopedic Clinic, you will work onsite in a collaborative environment designed to foster patient recovery. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life structure for our staff. You will engage closely with other healthcare professionals, utilizing an array of resources to coordinate care aimed at achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and address patient needs and rehabilitation goals through comprehensive evaluations and tailored treatment plans.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, seeing two to three patients per hour to maintain a high standard of care.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies and a variety of therapeutic approaches to enhance patients' mobility, strength, flexibility, and coordination.
• Develop and implement individualized wellness and fitness regimens that contribute to patients' long-term wellbeing and reduce reliance on medications or surgical interventions.
• Document patient progress meticulously and track outcomes to ensure quality care and effective treatment adjustments.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to create an integrated approach for comprehensive patient care.
• Educate and motivate patients on their rehabilitation journey, encouraging them to actively participate in their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and general musculoskeletal issues. Our clinic actively seeks to optimize their post-operative care and rehabilitation by providing effective interventions and ongoing support. You will play a pivotal role in guiding patients through their recovery processes, emphasizing mobility restoration and pain management.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid Physical Therapist License in the state of Virginia without any board or disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in exercise protocols.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Experience in developing care plans for diverse patient populations and familiarity with modern rehabilitation technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits

The Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
