Expect to engage with patients during regular hours, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients to develop individualized treatment plans that focus on their unique goals and needs.
• Conduct thorough evaluations, utilizing evidence-based practices to inform treatment decisions.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' motion, mobility, and overall functional performance.
• Educate patients about their conditions and promote understanding of their exercise programs to encourage compliance and empowerment.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR), specifically WebPT, for precise documentation and seamless patient management.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Provide guidance on proper exercise techniques to prevent injuries and enhance recovery.
• Maintain a manageable patient load to ensure that each individual receives the time and attention they deserve.
• Stay current with best practices in physical therapy and rehabilitation to continuously improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At the Center for Physical and Rehabilitation, our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other mobility impairments. This includes a wide range of cases, from post-operative care to chronic pain management. Your role will be to understand the specific challenges faced by each patient, develop personalized care strategies, and empower them to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Virginia with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and modalities.
• Strong analytical skills for developing and implementing effective exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to facilitate efficient documentation practices.
• A commitment to lifelong learning, with a strong foundation in current physical therapy techniques supported by research.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience working in a physical therapy setting, particularly in outpatient care.
• Experience in developing wellness programs tailored to diverse patient needs.
• An understanding of the significance of motivation and patient engagement in therapeutic contexts.
