Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the implementation of physical therapy treatment plans to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and enhance physical function according to established protocols.
• Evaluate and analyze patients' functional abilities, using diagnostic tests and assessments, ensuring comprehensive understanding of each patient's limitations and strengths.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants in executing treatment sessions and assist in the development of their skill set.
• Administer manual treatments, corrective exercises, and physical agents as prescribed while modifying programs based on ongoing assessments of patient progress.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients' home environments, making recommendations tailored towards maximizing independence and enhancing quality of life.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress reports, to reflect ongoing patient progress and treatment efficacy.
• Engage in interdisciplinary care team meetings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans and share insights regarding patient status.
• Instruct clients and families on the use and maintenance of therapeutic equipment, as well as self-management techniques for at-home care.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying informed about advancements in orthopedic therapy practices.
• Complete all necessary documentation timely and in accordance with state and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and those experiencing musculoskeletal disorders. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits
