Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and preliminary interviews, ensuring thorough documentation from initial consultations to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific mental, emotional, and behavioral needs of clients.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to promote healing and personal development.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to reflect evolving needs and treatment effectiveness.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention strategies for clients.

• Engage in regular follow-ups with clients transitioning to inpatient care, ensuring continuity in their treatment journey.

• Educate and support family members or primary caregivers in managing behavioral challenges associated with mental health conditions.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and intervene to mitigate any issues that may impede patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals across various age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds who are facing a wide range of mental health concerns. Our clients may present with anxiety, depression, trauma histories, and other mental health challenges. This diversity allows for enriched experiences and the opportunity to apply a variety of counseling techniques to meet specific patient needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• Successful completion of the National Counseling Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in active listening and empathetic engagement.

• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and electronic health record management.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, with demonstrated clinical insight and understanding of therapeutic methodologies.

• Familiarity with the practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and the effects of psychotropic medications.

• Experience working with clients dealing with co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction-related disorders.
