Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator to coordinate mental health treatment plans and ensure holistic care for our patients.

• Deliver targeted mental health in-service training to medical, psychiatric, and security staff to enhance the team's overall competency in managing diverse mental health challenges.

• Proactively intervene and de-escalate mental health emergencies, guiding patients toward immediate support and care.
\n
• Attend commitment hearings and provide expert testimony when required, depending on contractual obligations with various facilities.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment plans that include specific goals based on patients' needs, circumstances, and progress.
\n
• Maintain detailed documentation of all patient interactions and ensure the confidentiality and integrity of medical records.
\n
• Verify the mental health history of past patients, including any medications previously prescribed, to inform ongoing treatment strategies.

• Prepare comprehensive reports on patient progress and outcomes while highlighting any special circumstances as required.

• Coordinate with nursing and mental health staff to facilitate post-release referrals and support continued care for patients transitioning out of the facility.

Qualifications\n
