Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Aviant, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations by reviewing patients' medical history, performing assessments, and determining appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Communicating evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, actively involving them in the goal-setting process.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient, continually assessing their progress and adapting care plans as necessary.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care, documenting changes in condition that warrant modifications in treatment approaches.
• Managing patient discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions, evaluations, and progress notes.
• Meeting productivity expectations while maintaining an organized schedule and adhering to meeting attendance protocols.
• Contributing to departmental goals, complying with regulatory and accreditation standards, and engaging in community outreach initiatives.
• Actively pursuing continuing education opportunities to enhance professional development and serving as a clinical instructor for students as needed.
• Promoting a positive patient experience by ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to their needs.
• Working collaboratively to identify and address barriers to access for patients, while also participating in initiatives aimed at improving service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid DPT license in the State of New Jersey.
• American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates with at least two years of clinical experience in outpatient settings will be highly regarded.
