Work Environment

The physical therapist will work onsite at our Keyport rehabilitation facility, where patient-centered care is our top priority. Our daily operations are structured around hours conducive to healing, with a work schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. In this vibrant setting, physical therapists interact closely with support staff and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients before developing customized treatment plans tailored to their specific functional limitations and rehabilitation goals.
• Examine patient histories and conduct various assessments, ensuring accurate documentation of all findings and recommendations.
• Implement treatment protocols with proficiency based on the evaluation outcomes and changes in each patient's health status.
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues through consultations and team meetings to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Be vigilant in monitoring changes in patients' conditions, promptly documenting any necessary modifications to treatment plans or additional consultations needed.
• Manage discharge planning comprehensively, ensuring all follow-up care is arranged and that proper records are finalized in alignment with regulatory standards.
• Attend facility meetings and actively participate in initiatives to improve patient access and care delivery.
• Complete ongoing training and development to maintain compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations in the field of physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our diverse clientele includes young athletes, active adults, and older individuals seeking to regain mobility after surgery or injury. The therapist's role is critical in helping patients navigate their rehabilitation journeys, employing evidence-based practices to maximize their mobility and overall wellness.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) with all requisite certifications successfully completed.
