Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and comfort in your working environment while promoting a healthy work-life balance. Although you will primarily work from home, our outpatient office serves as the physical hub for our team’s collaborative activities. We leverage digital tools and virtual platforms to facilitate teamwork, client engagement, and community outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage in community outreach activities designed to promote holistic wellness and facilitate support networks for birthing individuals and families.

• Participate actively in regular clinical consultations and engage in multidisciplinary learning forums to enhance collaborative practices.
\n
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required clinical documentation, maintaining compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Provide direct clinical services that include behavioral health assessments, counseling sessions, and comprehensive case management tailored to the needs of Black birthing families.
\n
• Consult with prenatal care team members such as medical providers, midwives, and lactation consultants, ensuring quality integrated care for clients.
\n
• Co-facilitate childbirth education sessions and postpartum peer support groups in collaboration with birth workers to foster community and shared experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to serve Black birthing families, addressing their specific mental health needs and promoting overall wellness during the perinatal period. Your work will support these families in navigating the complexities of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum experiences, enhancing their mental health and fostering resilience in the community.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• Possession of one of the following licenses: LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
\n
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse, multicultural client base and interdisciplinary staff.

• Capacity to work independently, while being able to seek guidance when necessary to ensure client needs are met efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with birthing individuals or families from multicultural backgrounds can enhance your suitability for this role.

• Previous involvement in community engagement or outreach programs within the mental health or perinatal field is a plus.
