Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role will be predominantly based within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in beautiful Bonita Springs, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans targeting pain relief, muscle function restoration, and overall rehabilitation goals based on each client's unique needs.
• Collaborate with and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure that therapy plans are executed safely and effectively for all clients.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' functional abilities by applying a variety of diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, joint, and overall physical performance.
• Evaluate client environments to recommend modifications that enhance their ability to live independently and successfully engage in rehabilitation practices.
• Administer manual therapy techniques and facilitate therapeutic exercises, including educative guidance for clients on non-manual exercises and daily activities that promote recovery.
• Implement treatment modalities such as traction, massage, and other physical agents as per prescribed therapy plans.
• Provide consultations regarding the fitting and adjustment of prosthetic and orthotic devices, and communicate modifications to physicians as necessary.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss case progress, refining care plans based on collective input and ongoing client assessments.
• Document patient evaluations, therapy progress, treatment modifications, and discharge summaries in accordance with clinical record-keeping standards.
• Foster positive relationships with clients and their families by providing educational resources about their therapy programs and facilitating their engagement in the healing process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role serves a diverse patient population with varying rehabilitation needs, including post-operative recovery, stroke rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program, with a robust foundation in evidence-based practices.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in good standing within the state of Florida.
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care or home care setting, or as required by state law.
• Current CPR certification and an ongoing dedication to complying with state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage patients and their families effectively.
• A positive attitude and collaborative spirit that promotes teamwork within a multidisciplinary care team.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt treatment techniques to meet the diverse challenges presented by individual client scenarios.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and communication across care teams.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
