Work Environment

This role is based onsite in our outpatient facility located in Perth Amboy. As part of a close-knit team, you will work alongside experienced therapists, utilizing the latest methodologies and tools to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, identifying key issues and tailoring personalized treatment plans accordingly.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to help improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Instruct and supervise physical therapy interns and students, contributing to their training and development while enhancing the capabilities of the team.
• Prepare and present annual in-service training sessions to bolster staff knowledge and contribute to continuing education efforts.
• Stay updated with the latest industry practices and integrate evidence-based research into clinical practice for improved patient care.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure effective recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal disorders. We focus on providing individual-centered care that addresses the specific needs and recovery goals of each patient. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey, ensuring their experiences are positive and goal-oriented.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Active New Jersey State Physical Therapy license is mandatory.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities that foster positive relationships with patients and staff.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred and will enhance your qualifications for this role.
• Experience utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities in an outpatient setting.
