Work Environment

This role is entirely onsite, as you will be visiting patients at their residences throughout Sanford and the surrounding areas. Our home care setup allows for a personalized approach to therapy while fostering a warm and supportive environment for healing. You will have the flexibility to choose your own hours within a Monday to Friday schedule, providing the ideal work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, injuries, and surgeries, tailoring treatment plans to address their specific needs.
• Utilize a diverse range of therapeutic methods including manual therapy, strength training, and mobility exercises to promote recovery and relieve pain.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving therapeutic goals, continually reassessing and modifying these plans based on patient progress.
• Document treatment sessions meticulously, tracking patient responses and outcomes to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on rehabilitation techniques, the use of assistive devices, and strategies for independent living.
• Stay current in the field of physical therapy by engaging in professional development opportunities such as workshops and educational resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on a diverse patient population, ranging from children to older adults, all requiring specialized orthopedic rehabilitation. You will manage cases that may include post-surgical recovery, chronic pain management, and rehabilitation following sports or workplace injuries. The intimate and comfortable home setting enhances the rehabilitation experience, promoting a supportive environment tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure to practice Physical Therapy in Florida.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and caregivers.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills to maintain documentation and reporting.
• Flexibility and adaptability are essential due to the dynamic nature of home care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a home care setting is a plus but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
