Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing counselors to manage their schedules while maintaining strong connections with the team. Our outpatient office in Long Beach serves as a hub for collaboration and training, fostering a community of mental health professionals who share a commitment to excellence. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to address patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patient needs and develop customized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.

• Administer therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, and families, employing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.

• Facilitate engaging psychoeducational and support groups that promote understanding of mental health issues and foster a sense of community among participants.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services during critical moments, ensuring patients receive immediate support.

• Offer education to patients regarding their mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, enhancing their understanding and compliance with treatment.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements, ensuring the confidentiality of patient records.

• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development sessions to stay current with the latest developments in mental health research and practices.

You will work with a diverse population of clients, including individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and substance abuse issues. Our patient base reflects the broad socio-cultural spectrum of the Long Beach area, allowing you to engage with and contribute to the well-being of varied communities. This diversity necessitates an adaptable approach to therapy, where individualized care plans are paramount.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current and valid LPCC licensure in the state of California.

• Ability to conduct high-quality mental health assessments and create actionable treatment plans focused on patient empowerment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
