Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations and assessments to identify each patient's physical needs, ensuring a comprehensive approach to their care.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals, utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and advanced modalities to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress throughout their treatment journey, making modifications to treatment plans as necessary while maintaining compliance with documented protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about their rehabilitation process, advocating for their participation and understanding of their treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to coordinate care and achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients, from athletes recovering from sports injuries to seniors addressing mobility challenges associated with aging. Your role will involve assessing and treating individuals of all ages, allowing you to employ your clinical skills to cater to a wide array of orthopedic conditions. You will have the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with patients as you guide them through their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapist license to practice in Virginia, assuring compliance with state regulations.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical setting is preferred, though new graduates with strong clinical performance are encouraged to apply.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a genuine compassion for patient care.
• A proactive attitude and a collaborative approach to working with an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with treating orthopedic conditions and utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Experience in conducting group therapy sessions would be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
