Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide comprehensive individual, family, and group therapy sessions, tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

• Develop targeted therapy goals in close collaboration with clients, focusing on their strengths, support networks, and personal challenges.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to support clients struggling with issues such as illness, divorce, and unemployment, ensuring accessible and effective solutions.

• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and client progress in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.

• Research community resources and advocate for client access to essential services, such as food stamps, childcare, and healthcare, thereby enhancing their overall well-being.

• Engage in ongoing professional development to hone your skills, especially in areas like Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) where you may have prior training.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will include individuals, couples, and families dealing with the multifaceted challenges posed by substance abuse and mental health disorders. Many clients may be navigating complex life transitions, requiring a supportive and understanding therapeutic environment to foster their healing journey. You will be key in guiding them through these challenges, empowering them to achieve their therapeutic goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• An active and appropriate CA License in Marriage and Family Therapy, clear of any suspensions or probations.
\n
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience providing mental health services in therapeutic settings.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build trust and rapport with clients effectively.

• Proficient in delivering therapeutic modalities that cater to diverse clientele backgrounds.

• A commitment to maintaining ethical standards and documentation practices as per regulatory guidelines.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience or training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is preferred but not required.

• A background in working with children and families to deliver evidence-based practices is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
