Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, utilizing telehealth capabilities to reach clients where they are most comfortable. Our virtual platform fosters a collaborative atmosphere, allowing counselors to connect seamlessly with other team members, including psychiatrists and nursing staff. The work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the expectation of occasional evening and weekend shifts to provide flexible support for our clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each client's mental health status and determine the impact of mood disorder symptoms such as depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder.

• Collaborate closely with clients to develop individualized treatment strategies that align with their personal goals, preferences, and specific therapeutic needs.

• Utilize evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to implement effective therapeutic interventions.

• Provide educational resources and insights to clients and their families about mood disorders, therapeutic processes, and self-care techniques, empowering them to be active participants in their recovery journey.

• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes and addressing any challenges that arise in the therapeutic process.

• Work collaboratively with various healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, to create integrated care plans that address both therapeutic and medical needs of clients.

• Stay informed on current research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders, applying new methodologies to enhance therapy effectiveness.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment updates in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals dealing with mood disorders, including but not limited to major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and various anxiety disorders. You will provide critical support to a varied clientele, helping each person navigate the complexities of their mental health while equipping them with effective coping strategies. The diversity of our clients enhances your ability to learn and adapt therapeutic approaches that cater to a wide array of backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker with R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in New York State.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, particularly in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Proficiency in utilizing treatment modalities, particularly evidence-based therapies such as CBT and DBT, with a strong understanding of psychopharmacology.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing rapport with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 , complemented by potential bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
