Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, your core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive and trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and ascertain appropriate treatment strategies.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building techniques.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing trauma, developing effective coping mechanisms, and fostering healing.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated care approach for all patients.

• Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and wellbeing.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower them during the recovery journey.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation, in alignment with legal and ethical standards, to support the therapeutic process.

• Participating actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Staying informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, incorporating new knowledge into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. The practice emphasizes understanding trauma-related disorders and providing tailored therapeutic approaches to facilitate healing. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Maryland.
