Step into a rewarding role supporting students across multiple locations in the Hamtramck, MI area as an Occupational Therapist. In this contract position, you’ll travel between schools and play a pivotal part in enriching the educational experience for a diverse caseload of 30-40 students. Working 32.5 hours per week, you will bring your expertise to classrooms and collaborate with staff and families to help students thrive academically and functionally. This position is available immediately and runs through June 18, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required
• Valid state OT license
• Demonstrated experience within school settings, serving pediatric populations
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as an itinerant provider
• Independent, self-directed professional—must be comfortable without COTA supervision, as school cannot offer this
• Reliable transportation to travel between multiple sites

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct student evaluations to determine strengths and areas of need related to academic performance and daily living
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans in alignment with IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate therapy strategies into daily routines
• Document assessments, progress notes, and clinical reports in compliance with school and state regulations
• Attend IEP meetings and actively contribute to student plan development and review
