Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, paying close attention to medical conditions impacting mental well-being, including autoimmune disorders, substance use disorders, and chronic pain.

• Develop and implement integrated treatment plans that address both psychiatric and medical conditions through collaborative and patient-centered approaches.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions customized to meet the unique needs and circumstances of each patient, utilizing evidence-based therapies such as CBT or DBT.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and social workers, to ensure holistic care and achieve effective treatment outcomes.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, swiftly assessing risks and offering stabilization strategies.

• Educate patients on the interdependence of mental health and physical well-being, empowering them with tools and strategies for condition management.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, enhancing the quality of care.

• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary care planning exercises to foster collaborative treatment strategies.

• Stay updated with current research, best practices, and innovations in integrated mental and physical health care to continuously improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our center primarily supports individuals dealing with the complexities of co-occurring mental and physical health issues. As a mental health therapist, you will engage with a patient population facing varied challenges, including but not limited to mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and chronic illnesses. Your expertise will be vital in providing integrated treatment that addresses both their mental and physical health needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong understanding of mental health issues related to individuals with complex, co-occurring medical conditions.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective patient engagement and collaborative interdisciplinary work.

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries while adhering to ethical guidelines and ensuring confidentiality

Compensation and Benefits\n
