Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to become an integral part of our team at Wellness Wise Physical Therapy. This full-time position is located at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. As an Orthopedic PT, you will play a critical role in helping patients regain mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance their overall quality of life through tailored therapy programs.

Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility offers a supportive and encouraging environment conducive to healing. Your work schedule will be from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. Within our outpatient clinic setting, you will interact regularly with other healthcare professionals, fostering a team-based approach to patient care that enhances both professional growth and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's unique goals, preferences, and needs.
• Effectively manage your patient load to ensure that all individuals receive sufficient time and attention during therapy sessions.
• Employ advanced techniques and expertise in orthopedic outpatient care, drawing from your extensive knowledge and hands-on experience.
• Utilize cost-effective and evidence-based treatment methods to enhance patient mobility and functional movement.
• Encourage non-surgical treatment alternatives to reduce medication dependency and promote natural healing.
• Collaborate with patients to develop comprehensive care plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions.
• Design customized fitness and wellness programs, adapting exercises to meet specific patient needs and improvement areas.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and a healthy lifestyle.
• Regularly assess treatment efficacy, monitor patient progress, and adjust care plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all services provided in detail and maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as Web PT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. You will work closely with a diverse group of patients, including athletes, elderly individuals, and those needing rehabilitation after an accident or trauma. Each patient's unique circumstances and history will drive your approach to personalized therapy.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• No disciplinary actions or sanctions on your license record.
• Exceptional proficiency in a variety of manual therapy modalities is essential.
• Expertise in crafting and executing successful therapeutic exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly Web PT, for precise and efficient documentation.
• Up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy techniques with a strong emphasis on research support.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an orthopedic outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Experience in developing and leading fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual needs.
• Strong background in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and other healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive and ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on prior experience. We also offer a benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, continuing education allowances, and opportunities for professional development.
