The physical therapist will work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in the scenic Fort Myers Beach area. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine their specific rehabilitation needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with physician directives, employing research-driven interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, exercise programs, and specialized techniques according to best practices in physical therapy.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills, ensuring that all patients feel welcomed, supported, and valued during their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with a dynamic healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes and share insights on best practices and patient progress.
• Educate and empower patients and their caregivers, providing necessary instruction and resources to facilitate successful home care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position is dedicated to treating a diverse patient population across multiple specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will have the unique opportunity to manage treatments for various injuries and conditions, providing you with broad exposure to different therapeutic approaches tailored to individual patient needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• State licensure in Physical Therapy is mandatory to practice in Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, necessary for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

• Prior clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting focusing on orthopedic cases is highly desirable.
