Job Description The Staff Accountant will be responsible for recording general and administrative expenses, accruals, retail transactions, and cash journal entries, and performing related account reconciliations and variance analysis. This role will also assist on ad hoc projects, quarterly reviews, year-end audit requests, and monthly P&L reviews. The candidate will develop and maintain cooperative working relationships across the company with cross-functional departments such as Accounts Payable, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Retail. Qualified candidates will bring a strong knowledge of GAAP, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. This position reports directly to the Manager of Accounting at the corporate office. Responsibilities Assist with the month-end close process including recording retail transactions, club and corporate expenses, and accruals to the general ledger. Monitor, analyze, and reconcile various GL accounts and prepare budget vs actual analyses. Prepare bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with schedules, memos, and supporting documentation for the external audit. Work with other departments such as Accounts Payable, Retail, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Tax. Collaborate with senior team members on other financial and operating analyses and ad hoc projects. Opportunity to gain experience hours with several CPAs as a CPA candidate. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 1–3 years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience; public accounting experience preferred CPA license or active pursuit of CPA preferred Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) Microsoft Dynamics 365 and OneStream experience are a plus Self-motivated, proactive with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines with a positive attitude Willingness to learn, adapt, and improve the environment Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail Career-minded and goal-oriented with a constructive approach to challenges Pay Transparency: Min $70k – Max $80k Additional Information Competitive salary, benefits, and industry-leading commission opportunities for club employees Complimentary Club membership Perks and incentives with our products and services including Personal Training, Pilates, Spa and Shop Note: This job description describes the general requirements for the position.
