Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of patients, incorporating different therapeutic techniques to enhance their recovery journey.
• Conduct crisis interventions, supporting patients during emotional emergencies and connecting them with necessary resources.
• Provide ongoing counseling for complex issues such as addiction recovery, chronic pain management, anxiety, and depression.
• Lead group therapy sessions, including parent support groups, focusing on the mental health and developmental challenges of children and families.
• Offer training and mentoring to community professionals and parents about mental health issues, fostering greater awareness and understanding.
• Consult with multidisciplinary team members to craft effective intervention strategies and facilitate comprehensive care.
• Administer age-appropriate assessments and therapeutic interventions, considering the unique backgrounds and developmental stages of each client.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is on children and families, specifically targeting those at high risk or those who have been prenatally exposed to substances. You will be instrumental in providing therapeutic support to children aged 0-21 and their families, helping address issues that contribute to emotional and behavioral difficulties. Your work will help guide these families toward healthier dynamics and improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline is required.
• A valid and active CA License in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience in mental health treatment and intervention techniques, especially with high-risk children and their families.
• Solid understanding of child development, parenting strategies, and issues related to child abuse/neglect.
• Prior involvement in parent-child interventions will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, reflective of your experience and caseload.
