Work Environment

This physical therapist position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Perth Amboy. Our facility is designed to foster a healing and supportive environment, equipped with the latest tools and technology to facilitate effective therapy sessions. You'll be a part of a vibrant outpatient clinic with a work schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Your role will involve hands-on interaction with patients, alongside a team of dedicated healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care tailored to each patient's unique health goals and therapy needs.
• Maintain a balanced patient caseload to ensure each individual receives focused, personalized therapy sessions.
• Demonstrate expertise in orthopedic and outpatient physical therapy, drawing on prior practical experiences.
• Utilize a range of cost-effective treatment modalities to enhance patients' mobility and functional abilities.
• Emphasize the use of non-surgical therapies, reducing the reliance on medications and invasive procedures whenever possible.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans, integrating diverse treatment techniques for optimal outcomes.
• Design personalized fitness and wellness programs aligned with patients' specific rehabilitation needs.
• Encourage patients throughout their therapeutic journey, providing motivation and support to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Promote overall wellness by enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients effectively.
• Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness and document progress accurately to ensure quality patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves working with a diverse outpatient population, including athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals recovering from various musculoskeletal disorders. Your role is crucial in guiding these patients through their rehabilitation process, helping them achieve their personal goals regarding movement and functionality.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Possession of an active and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy modalities.
• Proven ability to design and implement successful exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly Web PT, for accurate documentation and patient management.
• Strong knowledge of current physical therapy techniques supported by the latest research.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Expertise in treating orthopedic conditions and sports injuries.
• Familiarity with collaborative healthcare models, working alongside diverse interprofessional teams.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
