The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of elderly patients, understanding the complexities related to their age and health status.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy, addressing various geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate directly with geriatric psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic, integrated care.

• Respond to mental health crises involving elderly patients, providing immediate interventions and developing safety plans when necessary.

• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on mental health matters, treatment options, and resources available in the community.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all relevant legal and ethical guidelines.

• Actively engage in team meetings and case consultations to enhance professional knowledge and ensure cohesive treatment strategies.

• Stay updated on research and advancements in geriatric mental health to continuously improve the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of our practice is the geriatric population, which includes individuals aged 65 and older. Our therapists address a variety of mental health conditions that disproportionately affect this age group, such as depression, social isolation, anxiety, dementia, and adjustment disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Active licensure in California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is required.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Demonstrated capability in conducting individual and family therapy with elderly clients.
