Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, where you will deliver care within the patient's home environment. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy, your role will encompass a variety of clinical and administrative responsibilities, including:

• Directing physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, enhancing muscle function, and maximizing patient performance based on individual capabilities.
• Overseeing the work of Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure they are correctly implementing the established care plans.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities and crafting customized interventions based on diagnostic assessments.
• Assessing patients' home environments to make recommendations that promote independence and safe rehabilitation practices.
• Providing hands-on physical therapy treatments, including manual exercises and instruction in functional activities to empower clients in their recovery.
• Administering various treatment modalities, including traction and massage, while documenting each client's progress meticulously.
• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team during case conferences to develop and refine treatment plans adapted to the patients' evolving needs.
• Preparing detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, in line with agency policies and OASIS requirements.
• Instructing and involving family members in the patient's care and therapy routines, fostering an inclusive approach to rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients in home settings, ranging from those recovering from surgeries and injuries to individuals with chronic conditions requiring ongoing rehabilitation support. Your expertise will be essential in establishing trust and rapport, as many clients may feel vulnerable transitioning from hospital to home care. The ability to deliver tailored therapy that is sensitive to each client's unique circumstances is crucial.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid PT licensure in the state of Florida, in good standing.
• Certification in CPR and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• A commitment to clinical excellence, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
• Exemplary interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in understanding and adhering to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
