Senior Sales Development Representative, Public Sector

The Lantern

Lantern is looking for a curious, coachable, and relentless Senior Sales Development Representative with a growth mindset — someone hungry to learn, stretch, and make an impact We’re seeking candidates with experience selling to HR and benefits leaders and a track record of consistently exceeding performance goals You’ll help expand Lantern’s reach by connecting with decision‑makers who care about improving care while reducing waste In this high‑impact role, you’ll partner closely with Marketing and Sales, operate with autonomy, and create conversations that unlock new revenue You’ll join a team that consistently exceeds targets, gain exposure to seven‑and‑eight‑figure enterprise deals, and learn how complex organizations evaluate and buy Along the way, you’ll work alongside some of the brightest minds in healthcare services, receiving mentorship, real‑time feedback, and a fast track to becoming an exceptional seller and future leader Drive top‑of‑funnel activity through outbound prospecting using calls, emails, social, video, and more to reach HR and benefits leaders at mid‑size to large employers Craft hyper‑personalized outreach that aligns with employer goals, challenges, and existing benefit strategies Qualify leads and set meetings for Account Executives by uncovering real business pain and identifying decision‑makers Partner cross‑functionally with marketing, sales, and strategy teams to refine messaging and outreach strategies Stay sharp on industry trends, the evolving benefits landscape, and how Lantern complements other vendors Keep your pipeline and activity meticulously updated in Salesforce Test, iterate, and share learnings because we believe the best SDRs are mini marketers and strategic thinkers Success looks like; Hitting and exceeding quarterly targets Consistently delivering high‑quality conversations that uncover real employer pain Becoming a trusted voice for benefits leaders exploring better ways to manage specialty care Demonstrating growth in sales acumen, industry knowledge, and prospecting creativity Qualifications Comfortable using Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo Familiarity with healthcare, employee benefits, or HR tech You are data‑driven, using metrics to inform your strategy rather than just report on it You are energized by purpose and want your work to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives 2+ years of outbound sales or prospecting experience in a B2B environment Prior experience collaborating with marketing or demand generation teams You have experience selling to HR and benefits leaders and a track record of consistently exceeding quota You love building something new and have a bias toward action Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages that resonate with busy buyers Organized and detail‑oriented with strong follow‑up and time‑management skills You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and are motivated by goals, growth, and feedback You know how to execute the full outbound motion, including email, cold calls, LinkedIn messages, personalized videos, and more Exposure to account‑based selling or working from a defined target account list Growth‑oriented with a desire to learn, take feedback, and continuously level up Interest in healthcare innovation and improving employee wellbeing Experience prospecting into HR, Benefits, or People teams You are a skilled communicator — empathetic, concise, and able to tailor your message to your audience Data‑driven mindset with a habit of tracking your own performance and iterating to improve Proven ability to generate pipeline through outbound channels including cold email, phone, LinkedIn, video, and more You are intellectually curious, asking “why” to uncover the heart of a prospect’s pain Experience using AI tools to drive productivity and insights Benefits Paid Vacation Health Insurance Health Savings Account Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Parental Leave Short & Long Term Disability Life and AD&D Insurance Commuter Spending Retirement Savings Plan #J-18808-Ljbffr Lantern
