Step into a contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher focusing on Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) in a welcoming elementary school environment. This onsite position is set to begin in late August 2026 and will extend through early June 2027, providing the chance to make a daily impact with a manageable caseload of nine students. Your workweek will generally run Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, totaling 37.5 hours weekly.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
• Experience or enthusiasm for working with students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities
• Ability to develop and implement individualized instruction plans
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Must provide certification and updated resume for consideration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to a small group of DCD-identified students, adapting curriculum and teaching strategies as needed
• Assess student needs and progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support student learning and development
• Create a safe and nurturing educational environment focused on each learner’s unique strengths
• Implement IEPs and participate actively in team meetings and planning sessions
