Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations to assess students' needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups, addressing various mental health issues prevalent in the student population.

• Lead one-on-one therapy sessions, guiding students in skill-building exercises and therapeutic discussions.
\n
• Complete discharge sessions with students, ensuring they understand their coping strategies, transition plans, and available resources for continued support.
\n
• Collaborate closely with school staff, referral sources, and outpatient providers to maintain continuity of care.
\n
• Communicate effectively with students and their families, confirming discharge appointments and transitioning them back to general education settings smoothly.
\n
• Participate actively in crisis management during therapy sessions to ensure a safe environment for all students.
\n
• Monitor students for signs of suicidality and other risks, implementing appropriate interventions as necessary.
\n
• Contribute to clinical outreach efforts to promote mental health resources within our partnering schools.
\n
• Assist in administrative tasks, including documentation of services, progress notes, and compliance with treatment standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to serve a diverse student population, employing an understanding of various cultural backgrounds and unique emotional challenges. Your expertise will be pivotal in addressing conditions such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and the effects of trauma, creating a safe space for students to express themselves and seek help.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline is required.

• Must hold an independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries while fostering trust and rapport with clients.

• Strong proficiency in documenting services efficiently, including writing initial assessments, SMART treatment plans, and clinical case notes.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Comfortable working with a diverse client base, demonstrating cultural competency in approach and practice.
