Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, ensuring a thorough understanding of each individual's unique situation.

• Collaborate with clients to co-create individualized treatment plans that are tailored to their specific goals, preferences, and challenges.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to engage clients and facilitate progress in treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Monitor clients’ progress throughout treatment, regularly reviewing and adjusting plans to meet their evolving needs.

• Work alongside psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care and comprehensive support for clients.

• Stay informed on the latest trends and research in mood disorders to apply the most effective interventions in practice.

• Maintain confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance clinical expertise.

• Act as an advocate for clients, promoting mental health awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals coping with mood disorders, including but not limited to major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Our clients come from various backgrounds, each bringing unique experiences and needs. Your role will be pivotal in helping them navigate their challenges and achieve better mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in California, demonstrating your qualifications to provide mental health counseling.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.
