Work Environment\n

This remote position allows for flexibility in scheduling while maintaining a supportive virtual environment. As a school-based practitioner, you will have the opportunity to engage with students, faculty, and other professionals through virtual platforms, creating treatment plans tailored to student needs. You will also occasionally coordinate with various stakeholders, including educational staff and healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for the students.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Utilize your clinical expertise to conduct thorough psychosocial assessments, ensuring accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.

• Collaborate with students to design individualized, culturally appropriate treatment plans that address their unique emotional and psychological needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing tailored to student circumstances.

• Work in partnership with school administrators, educators, and parents to monitor student progress and adapt treatment strategies as necessary.

• Regularly evaluate client engagement and treatment effectiveness, adjusting approaches based on data-driven insights.

• Facilitate psycho-education sessions for students, parents, and school staff to promote awareness of mental health issues and reduce stigma.

• Support medication management efforts in collaboration with medical providers, focusing on treatment adherence, side effects, and overall effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will focus on providing mental health services primarily to children and adolescents in a school setting, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma. By working closely with this age group, you will directly contribute to enhancing their emotional and academic success, providing tools for resilience and coping.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice independently as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Maryland.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as an independently licensed therapist, working with children and adolescents preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
