Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing flexibility for the Licensed Clinical Social Worker while maintaining strong connections with school staff and students. The successful candidate will collaborate with educators, administrators, and other mental health professionals to identify and assist students in need of support. Our remote setting leverages technology to facilitate effective communication and service delivery, ensuring that our clinicians can engage with clients and team members seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments tailored to the unique needs of children and adolescents, focusing on mental health, substance use, and medical requisites in a primary care school setting.

• Deliver individual and group counseling, assessment and evaluation services, treatment planning, and crisis intervention to a diverse student population, addressing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues.

• Provide liaison and referral services to community resources and agencies, including connecting families with medication assistance programs and local mental health services.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with the Quality Improvement teams to optimize data collection processes that inform and enhance the delivery of mental health services.
\n
• Document and electronically file mental health evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with state regulations, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be on pediatric and adolescent populations, encompassing a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and cultural identities. Thrive Mental Health Services is particularly invested in understanding the barriers and challenges faced by these communities, allowing our LCSW to tailor services that address specific needs and leverage community resources effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in the state of New York is mandatory.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) with at least three (3) years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health settings.

• Proficiency in various counseling techniques and crisis intervention methods, with the ability to apply independent judgment while providing direct services.

• Experience in group facilitation and an understanding of educational assessments and interventions are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
