Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility in your work setting while still fostering close connections with colleagues and patients. Our team operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some opportunities for flexible scheduling based on patient needs. You will collaborate with various professionals in a multidisciplinary approach, ensuring an integrated care model that promotes positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments, gathering crucial information about patients' trauma histories to inform and guide treatment planning.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique experiences and needs, focusing on fostering trauma recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma experiences and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support to patients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources for further support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of patient records.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities related to trauma-informed care.

• Continuously stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with individuals affected by trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our focus is on creating a healing environment where clients feel safe and supported as they engage in their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, specifically in a mental health setting.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to approach each interaction with compassion and non-judgment.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress environments, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with computer applications related to telehealth.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment while showing initiative and independence when necessary.
