Work Environment\n

This position operates within a community health clinic setting, now extending its reach through remote work. As a full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have the flexibility of a remote work environment with scheduled hours Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM while also accommodating patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of clients to create tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.

• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), focusing on solution-oriented approaches.

• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Engage in case consultations and peer reviews to enhance the quality of care and professional development.
\n
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, guiding them through mental health conditions, treatment plans, and available community resources.

• Stay updated on the latest research, treatment modalities, and innovations in the mental health field to inform practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and often face various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. Our counselors are trained to work effectively with a multicultural client base, recognizing the importance of cultural competency in providing optimal care and understanding the unique needs of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in fields such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York, with a strong understanding of state regulations and standards for practice.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based psychotherapy techniques and a passion for tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of clients.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills that enhance collaborative teamwork and improve client outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in a community health setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is advantageous, as is experience working in multicultural environments. Candidates who have completed specialized training in evidence-based therapies will be highly regarded.
