Accounts Receivable Representative III

About the Role Canon USA in Melville, NY is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative III (Representative, Accts Rcvb III). The Accounts Receivable Representative III applies cash payments received from customers to outstanding invoices; generally more larger and complex transactions requiring in depth analysis.This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs. Your Impact - Applies cash payments received from customers to outstanding invoices; generally more larger and complex transactions requiring in depth analysis- Investigate and resolve customer payment discrepancies and handle complex customer payment issues- Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve any accounting discrepancies- Researches unapplied remittances to determine proper invoice application and ensures difficult customer accounts are fully reconciled- Processes larger and more complex purge offsets- Communicates with Collections personnel to resolve outstanding customer issues. May provide guidance to less experienced- Process and Set Up Customer AR Refunds, Subsidiary Refunds- Reconciles credit card payments and supports manager/supervisor with gateway administration- Process more complex transactions and manager more complex tasks related to customer account reconciliations and applications- Assist in implementing automation tools to opitmize efficiency consideration (AI, Robotics, System Enhancements)- Assist in enhancement projects, such as system testing and automation About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring - Typically requires general and/or vocational training plus 4 years of related experience- Ability to work independently and as part of the team- Strong Analytical and problem solving skills- Effective communication skills to collobarate with internal stakeholders- Proficiency in using accounting software and other relavant tools- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with work- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets with the ability to download and manipulate large quantities of data (Pivat tables, Vlookups)- Thourough understanding of Cash Discount terms- They work under minimal supervision, though decisions are made under the close supervision of management- Employees have a full understanding of the job role and can apply their well-developed skill set to a range of tasks, some of which are difficult in nature- Proven experience in cash application, including bank lockobox management and electronic payment processing- Familiarity with Ecommerce and Bank Statement Reconciliations- Familiarity with RPA and AI- Bilingual is a plusWe are providing the anticipated rate for this role: $27.88 - $41.75 hourly Company Overview About our Company - p { font-size: 18px; } Canon U.S.A., Inc., is a leading provider of consumer, business-to-business, and industrial digital imaging solutions to the United States and to Latin America and the Caribbean markets.
