Insightful Journeys Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist, specializing in child and adolescent care, to join our remote team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of young individuals and their families while working within a supportive community health clinic framework. The ideal candidate will hold a current license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW and will be responsible for providing evidence-based therapeutic services.

Work Environment\n

This position allows for flexible remote work, supporting your work-life balance while enabling you to meet the mental health needs of our young clients effectively. Our team operates from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed to accommodate patient schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately evaluate the needs of children and adolescents.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on the latest evidence-based practices, considering developmental stages and family dynamics.
\n
• Provide various therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy sessions to support children and their caregivers.
\n
• Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for all patients.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and immediate therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment methodologies, and available community resources, fostering a deeper understanding and active role in care.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to ensure cohesive care delivery and share insights on best practices.
\n
• Continuously update knowledge about current research and advancements in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance service effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Your role will involve not only individual therapy but also engaging parents and caregivers in family sessions to build a nurturing environment for healthy development.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
\n
• In-depth understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, including effective evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrable experience in delivering individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, highlighting a compassionate and child-focused approach.
\n
• Proven ability to establish rapport with clients and their families, fostering trust and collaboration.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
\n
• Capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in a mental health setting, specifically working with children and adolescents.

• Experience in crisis intervention and management within a mental health context.

• Continuing education related to child and adolescent therapies is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
