Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while interacting with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals. As part of our child and adolescent psychiatry team, you will collaborate with experienced child psychiatrists and other specialists who prioritize a holistic approach to care. While the majority of your work will be conducted virtually, there may be occasional evening shifts depending on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine the psychological needs of children and adolescents, establishing a foundation for effective treatment.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that cater to the unique developmental stages and family dynamics of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions designed to empower parents and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to provide a nurturing environment for their children.

• Engage in close collaboration with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.

• Provide timely crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and support of young clients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and available community resources, fostering informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation to comply with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient information management.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development initiatives to continuously enhance clinical skills.

• Stay abreast of the latest developments in child and adolescent psychiatry through ongoing research and training.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on children and adolescents suffering from various mental health issues. You will be working closely with a diverse patient population, treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving the mental health outcomes of these young individuals, supporting their emotional development and enhancing family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and proven therapeutic modalities is essential.

• Experience conducting both individual and family therapy with a focus on children and adolescents.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.

• Ability to build rapport and trust with young clients and their families effectively.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and other relevant technology.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitively set between USD 75,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
