Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate students' emotional and psychological needs, leading to well-informed treatment plans.

• Implement tailored therapeutic interventions, utilizing a variety of evidence-based modalities, that address anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns.

• Work closely with students to establish personalized therapeutic goals, regularly reviewing and adjusting strategies to encourage ongoing progress and development.

• Provide teletherapy services to students who may face barriers accessing in-person support, ensuring continuity of care and adaptability in service delivery.

• Document all client interactions and treatment plans accurately and promptly, complying with ethical and regulatory guidelines while reflecting Alta Med's commitment to professionalism.

• Engage in regular professional development activities, attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions to keep abreast of new methodologies and best practices in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be culturally diverse students navigating their educational experiences. Many of these individuals face unique challenges, including trauma, family issues, and social pressures that affect their mental health. By providing specialized support, you will play a crucial role in helping them achieve emotional resilience and academic success.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license in Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is essential.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster trusting relationships with students and their families.

• Ability to exhibit empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental approach when supporting students through their challenges.

• Strong organizational skills that facilitate effective management of a diverse caseload and timely completion of administrative tasks.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents in therapeutic settings is a plus, preferably with a focus on school-based mental health services.
