This position operates in a remote work setting, primarily serving clients as part of an integrated school-based program. The flexibility of remote work allows our therapists to connect with students in a familiar environment, while also adapting to their individual needs. You will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other mental health professionals to ensure that each child receives comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the unique needs of students and develop tailored treatment plans that address their specific challenges.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver impactful individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups within the school community, designed to foster healthy coping mechanisms and resilience among students.

• Engage in ongoing collaboration with teachers, school counselors, and psychiatric professionals to ensure a team-oriented approach to student care.

• Provide crisis intervention services to address acute mental health emergencies, ensuring students receive immediate and effective support when necessary.

• Educate students and families about mental health conditions, therapy options, and available resources to empower them towards proactive mental wellness.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes to comply with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily focus on supporting children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, often exacerbated by the demands of school and home environments. By offering remote therapy sessions, you will provide a comfortable atmosphere for students to explore their thoughts and feelings, helping them build skills to manage their emotions and interpersonal relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly in working with youth.

• Experience conducting comprehensive assessments and formulating effective, individualized treatment strategies.
\n
• Proven ability to deliver individual and group therapy in a school or similar environment, preferably with diverse populations.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and school staff.

• Excellent judgment, professional boundaries, and commitment to ethical practice.

• Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarization with digital communication tools.

• A collaborative spirit, capable of working closely with a multidisciplinary team for holistic student care.

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience providing mental health therapy in a school setting or similar environment, showcasing their ability to navigate the unique challenges faced by children and adolescents. Experience in crisis intervention and knowledge of community resources will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
