The Strategic Account Director position is responsible for developing and managing Global Accounts and maximizing all sales opportunities within those accounts. This includes promoting and selling KnowBe4’s products and services, achieving and exceeding monthly sales quotas, targeting the book of business, and maximizing cross‑sell opportunities, increased subscription levels, and additional seats due to account growth. The role works closely with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to ensure increased ARR and broader adoption of the product suite, coordinating territories and global account deals. Responsibilities Promote and sell KnowBe4’s range of products and services. Build and maintain a pipeline of potential customers by developing and managing relationships with prospects. Identify key decision makers and develop meaningful relationships that add value and drive future account growth. Articulate the value proposition of KnowBe4’s full suite of products and help the customer understand how it will improve their business’s security awareness training and overall security posture. Achieve or exceed monthly quotas and/or targets. Represent KnowBe4’s products and services at trade shows and events. Follow up on marketing leads to generate sales opportunities and build pipeline. Strategically negotiate discounted pricing in line with established policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and thorough records for customer calls, emails, notes, tasks, demos, and other relevant information in compliance with the Administration Policy. Support the renewal process and work with Customer Success Managers and Renewal Specialists to grow account commitments. Partner with KnowBe4 Revenue teams on strategies to increase account penetration of Global accounts. Global Account Mapping. Travel to meet on‑site with C‑Levels and other Executives for assigned accounts. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred (exceptions may be made for military experience); degree in any field acceptable, with a plus for Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, Business, or Marketing. Proven track record selling to EVP and C‑level executives (CISOs and Security Teams a plus). 5+ years SaaS sales experience (Cybersecurity preferred but not required). Experience selling Enterprise segment deals between $100K and $200K and multi‑year contracts. International experience; English and local language proficiency required. Demonstrated expertise in value‑based selling methodologies with enterprise accounts. Executive‑level presentation and communication skills. Strategic account planning and management experience with measurable account growth. Experience managing and progressing opportunities with multiple stakeholders. Track record of closing complex, multi‑year deals with multiple stakeholders. Experience creating and communicating compelling business cases. Consultative selling approach and value‑selling methodology experience. Technical objection handling and discovery conversation skills. Ability to run tailored product demonstrations. Technical aptitude and use of sales tools. Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. Pipeline management and accurate forecasting. Familiarity with IT Security concepts and standard practices. Experience with Salesforce and Gmail. Security‑related certifications such as Network+, Security+ preferred. Strong competitive spirit and collaborative approach. Positive attitude, quick learner, excellent communication and phone presence. Time management, organizational skills, resilience, and persistence. Self‑motivated, energetic self‑starter who works with minimal supervision. Strong teamwork and partnership skills. Interest and curiosity in cybersecurity and technical concepts. Understanding of security technologies such as IAM solutions (Okta, Ping, Azure AD), SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm), EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, SentinelOne), cloud security (AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center), email security, GRC platforms, and zero‑trust architecture.
