Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and preliminary interviews to assess clients’ needs, documenting each case meticulously from the first consultation to treatment completion.

• Develop tailored treatment and recovery plans for clients based on individual, couple, family, and group dynamics, employing methods grounded in best practices.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing interventions that foster empathy, understanding, and growth.
\n
• Continuously monitor and document progress throughout the course of treatment, adapting plans as necessary in coordination with other healthcare professionals.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, nurses, and social workers to create comprehensive intervention strategies and ensure integrated care for clients.

• Identify and address potential barriers to recovery, employing preventative measures to support clients in their healing journey.
\n
• Support family members and caregivers by providing guidance on managing behavioral challenges and enhancing family dynamics, helping create a holistic support system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will work with at Ridgeview vary widely in terms of age, background, and mental health needs. Our patient population includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues, as well as those grappling with substance use disorders. Your role will be to navigate their unique challenges with compassion and provide evidence-based interventions tailored to their specific circumstances, making a positive difference in their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated ability to utilize electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for case management and documentation purposes.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities that foster a supportive therapeutic alliance with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly within a community clinic or similar settings.

• A working knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• Familiarity with the effects of prescribed medications and the interplay between physical and mental health issues.

• A background that includes work with addiction disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
