Next Step Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Immokalee, Florida. Work Environment

This role requires a full-time commitment with an onsite work setting as you travel to clients' homes throughout Immokalee and its surrounding areas. Our therapists work Monday through Friday, allowing for a structured schedule that promotes work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at enhancing client mobility, alleviating pain, and maintaining maximum functional performance.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in the delivery of care according to established guidelines and best practices.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities using diagnostic tests tailored to assess muscle, nerve, and joint conditions.
• Assess clients' home environments to recommend modifications and adaptations that facilitate independence and improve rehabilitation outcomes.
• Provide physical therapy services in home environments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring that care is both safe and effective.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, assist clients with functional activities, and provide education on home exercise programs.
• Utilize traction, massage, and physical agents in treatment protocols as clinically indicated.
• Evaluate and fit clients for prosthetic and orthotic devices, liaising with physicians for necessary adjustments.
• Document clinical evaluations and ongoing progress meticulously, including OASIS assessments, care plans, and discharge summaries.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to strategize and review treatment plans for optimal patient outcomes.
• Guide clients and their families on utilizing physical therapy devices while providing education on their overall therapy programs.
• Be readily available to assist Physical Therapy Assistants and provide supervision as required by state regulations.
• Complete administrative duties and documentation accurately and timely, in compliance with organizational policies.
• Embrace a flexible approach, completing additional duties and commitments as assigned to achieve the company's goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions that affect musculoskeletal health. Your role will involve creating tailored rehabilitation plans that address each client's specific needs, aiming to restore their mobility and enhance their overall well-being within the comfort of their homes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, ensuring a high level of knowledge in physical therapy practices.
• Possession of a valid State License in Physical Therapy, complying with state regulations for practice.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer systems, facilitating accurate documentation and communication.
• Flexibility to adapt to varied patient needs and schedules, showcasing agility in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health care is advantageous, providing insights into delivering care within clients' residences.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
