Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing our counselors to create a flexible and comfortable workspace conducive to productivity and well-being. You will be part of a supportive outpatient team, collaborating with fellow mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment. While you will primarily conduct sessions through telehealth platforms, occasional in-person collaboration or meetings will occur as needed at our Huntington Beach office.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health statuses and identify their specific psychological needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic strategies tailored to each client's unique situation.

• Facilitate regular follow-up sessions, providing ongoing support and utilizing therapeutic tools to aid clients in overcoming their mental health challenges.

• Maintain detailed, accurate records of client interactions and treatment progress within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to create comprehensive care plans, making timely referrals to additional services when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role allows you to engage with a diverse range of clients, including those experiencing depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, and other mental health issues. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and you will be expected to adapt your therapeutic approaches to align with their cultural contexts and personal experiences. Emphasizing a culturally responsive care model is essential to effectively reaching and supporting our clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as an LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting providing mental health counseling.

• A comprehensive understanding of various mental health disorders and effective, evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct both individual and group therapy sessions with sensitivity to cultural differences.

• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
