Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments for clients via telehealth sessions, meticulously documenting each case from the onset of treatment through to discharge.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs to establish a comprehensive understanding of their challenges and strengths.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups to foster positive mental health outcomes.

• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote dialogue, reflection, and healing.
\n
• Monitor client progress in alignment with treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, to enhance the collective care of our clients.

• Provide necessary referrals and follow-ups for clients requiring additional services, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.

• Assist family members and caregivers in understanding and managing mental and behavioral challenges associated with clients’ conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population is incredibly diverse, encompassing individuals across various age groups, cultural backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses. We work with clients facing a broad spectrum of challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and relationship issues. This role requires a culturally competent approach to care, understanding the intersectionality of mental health within the context of individual life experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• Successful completion of relevant examinations, including the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in a telehealth or remote setting.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR, to ensure efficient patient data management.
\n
• Strong knowledge concerning the interplay of physical health issues, emotional well-being, and addiction disorders.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with best practice guidelines set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of the effects of medications prescribed for mental health conditions.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong capacity for empathetic engagement.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with team members.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
