Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and preliminary interviews to document clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health from the initial consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Create tailored intervention strategies and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, integrating evidence-based practices.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities to encourage client engagement.
\n
• Monitor client progress, modify treatment plans as necessary, and provide continued support throughout their recovery process.
\n
• Collaborate with external healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and medical doctors, to coordinate client care and follow up on medication management for those admitted to inpatient facilities.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to overcome these challenges, working closely with clients and their families.
\n
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health issues, enhancing the overall support system for the client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a range of mental health challenges. This includes anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and various co-occurring disorders. Through your expertise, you will provide the necessary support and guidance to empower clients in reclaiming control over their mental health and achieving their personal goals.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for documentation and client management.
\n
• Strong understanding and experience with mental health, addiction disorders, and the complexities surrounding physical health conditions that may impact mental wellbeing.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an easily digestible manner.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, with a focus on telehealth services preferred.

• Knowledge of the best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, enhancing unified client care.

• In-depth knowledge of the effects of psychotropic medications and their role in client treatment plans.

• Strong interpersonal skills with empathy and a non-judgmental approach towards clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
