Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Long Beach Counseling Services, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of youth clients and establishing strong therapeutic relationships grounded in professionalism and ethical practice.

• Conducting regular sessions with clients to discuss their progress, evaluate treatment efficacy, and facilitate smooth transitions, including discharges when appropriate.

• Developing and implementing tailored, person-centered treatment plans that reflect the individual needs and goals of each client.

• Documenting all client interactions, maintaining up-to-date records and progress notes in compliance with organizational standards.

• Performing intake assessments to gather essential information about new clients and identify immediate mental health needs.

• Engaging in individual supervision and professional development activities to enhance therapeutic techniques and self-reflection.

• Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary team members and external healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on youth clients, including adolescents facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's Degree in mental health counseling or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

Compensation and Benefits\n
