Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, taking into account each individual’s unique background and needs.

• Deliver therapeutic services, including individual and family therapy sessions, tailored to meet the identified mental health concerns of clients.

• Document therapy sessions accurately and promptly, completing treatment plans, billing, and insurance authorization forms within defined timeframes.

• Develop essential crisis plans, safety plans, and relapse prevention strategies to empower clients in managing their mental health effectively.

• Collaborate with clients to create comprehensive discharge plans to facilitate a smooth transition from counseling services.
\n
• Maintain awareness of and adhere to all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures, ensuring compliance in all clinical aspects.

• Commit to ongoing professional development through training and continuing education to enhance therapeutic skills and methodologies.

• Engage actively in case consultations and agency meetings to discuss patient care strategies and share best practices.

• Complete all required licensure and mandatory training necessary for your role on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications\n

• Active licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in New York State, including LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW credentials.

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, preference will be given to candidates who bring additional experience in telehealth settings, crisis intervention, or work with specific populations such as children and families, substance use disorders, and individuals experiencing severe mental illness.
